Lessons Learned from Running a Membership Site

As those who have followed my posts here know, I recently converted my main website from a shopping cart format to a membership site format.  This was in response to recent research and past experience coming together to form a picture of the possibilities.  I'd like to report on some of my early experiences with this.

Lessons Learned from Frank Kern & Mass Control Marketing

I admit it.  I get sidetracked very easily, especially when it comes to learning new stuff that can make me more effective in what I'm doing.  This time, however, I didn't have to invest in another high-priced course, since I had a friend who had purchased Frank Kern's Mass Control Marketing package and gave me a chance to watch the videos and read through the manual.

Six Sigma for website design and improvement

Recently, I decided it was time to install and start using a special split testing tool I purchased a couple of years ago.  I purchased it mainly because the developer was raising the price from $495 to $891 and I wanted to save the nearly $400.  Although this software sat on my hard drive for a long time, I'm glad I took action and bought it.

Setting Limits

Setting Limits

What are limits? Limits tell your family under what condition you are willing or unwilling to do something. They tell your family where you "draw the line." They tell them what you will or will not tolerate. Their purpose is to take care of you. Limits are not designed to control or manipulate someone else' behavior. Here are three examples:

Converting a shopping cart site to a membership site

As those who have been following along know, my review of past marketing educational materials enlightened me as to the values of packaging my products in a membership site format rather than a shopping cart.  And since I felt it necessary to live by whatever standards I recommend to others, I took time away from creating the Spiritual Business Kit to convert my main site to the new format.

Do We Over Think?

The other day a friend and I watched a television program by an anthropologist about his studies of an Amazonian Indian Tribe. One of the areas, among many, which particular interested us was the fact that this tribe did not really ‘think’ about anything which they could not physically see. When the anthropologist (who was also at one time a Missionary) attempted to explain the concept of Jesus, they asked did he know him.

Are You Playing The Waiting Game?

Are you playing the waiting game?.  What is the 'waiting game".   It's the phrase I've coined to describe people who are always waiting for something to come along before they start working on achieving their desires.   They are the people who will say "I'd love to be a full time artist but I'm waiting until I have more time".  Or "I'd love to start my own internet marketing business but I'm waiting until I have more money".   They are always 'waiting' for that proverbial ship to come home.   They will discuss at len

Go The Extra Mile

Just recently I received a comment on my site www.millionairemindsetonline.com and the lady concerned wrote that she was very concerned about her friend and was trying to help her overcome her problems.  Could I offer any help?.  Now, normally with comments on my blog site, I do not answer them personally.  For one reason, most are saying that they like the post and secondly, the time factor.   However on this occassion I did make the time, despite having a busy schedule planned for that day, to reply and offer t

You Can Have What You Want

Think about someone you consider has been or is successful, and then ask yourself, “What do they have that I don’t have?”

Are they smarter than you? More persistent? In the right place at the right time? Better looking? Lucky? Well connected? Have a better family background? More creative? Have more money? Are more educated? Have a bigger house? Have a better car? Have fame?
